Auca Village, Curaray river, MAF, Nate Saint -

Working on the final few illustrations for the Jim Elliot story. Using a reference photo taken by MAF Pilot Nate Saint, an "Auca" 3d village has been constructed on the banks of the jungle river Curaray. (Nate designed a spectacular 'bucket drop' system where he would skillfully spiral his Piper Cub plane above creating a downward vortex until the basket came to rest motionless on the village floor below. The missionaries could then exchange gifts with the Waodani tribe below.)
